Positive Support Services

What is PSS?

Positive Support Services (PSS) is an evidence-based framework geared towards understanding and resolving problem behaviors. It offers an approach to developing an understanding of why the problem behavior occurs and provides strategies to prevent the occurrence of problem behavior while teaching new skills. Positive Support Services offers a holistic approach that considers all factors impacting a person and their behavior. It consists of developing, implementing, and monitoring a person-centered, individually designed proactive plan that can address problem behaviors ranging from aggression, tantrums, and property destruction to social withdrawal.
